1840 Tice Valley Boulevard, Walnut Creek, California 94595, United States
Up The Creek Records was established in 2017. They are a brand new Vinyl Album, Book and Gift shop, selling Retro Electric bicycles as well. June 1st, the shop has opened. This year, they look forward to hosting local music events and being an integral part of the music culture of Walnut Creek / Contra Costa county.
Besides music-related books for all ages, they have a wide range of new and used vinyl records and entry-level record players. They also have a large variety of skateboards, including Meow, Welcome, Powell, Base, Santa Cruz and Toy Machine decks and completes, Indy and Theeve trucks, and a wide range of clothes and accessories. For vinyl lovers AND the people who put up with us, it's a different kind of record store! They hope you're coming over to take a look.
Up The Creek is a gem. A rare breed of store in the suburbs, or anywhere this day and age. It's truly a special place for the community. The owner Nic has created an inspiring space for artists, music lovers and all people that step inside. No Baal vibes here! Skateboards and records! This place rules! Go check it out and if you feel like hearing free live music go on a Saturday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. A record store that gives musicians a place to be heard! Like most people say, this is a very rare place!
It is also a super cool store. If you had a man-cave it would look like this, just not as nice. Locally owned small business, more of a labor of love than a business, but who cares. Vinyl. Audio gear. Guitars and amps. Electric bikes. Add a pool table and tap a keg, you might stay here longer than you think.
Great selection of curated books and records. Small store but filled with plenty of treasures. You'll end up spending more time and cash than expected.
