The Gardens at Heather Farm in Walnut Creek blends nature's rustic charm with the comfort and versatility of a modern event center. At the vine-covered Gazebo, host your ceremony in the backyard, enjoy drinks and appetizers on the outdoor garden patio, and then head inside to dine and dance in a lively, spacious reception area.
The beautiful Cowden Rose Garden, the centerpiece of a six-acre site, features thousands of brightly-colored flowers blooming continuously from spring through fall and filling the air with fragrance. It's a place of preference for memorable, romantic images. The Gazebo, with climbing vines and unique slate-tile roof, is the ideal backdrop for wedding ceremonies — no additional decor required!
The Meadow Lawn is bordered by flowering trees and shrubs with a stunning panoramic view of the gardens and surrounding lake, and makes a good place for group pictures and small ceremonies.
Let your guests mingle at the Patio and Pavilion after the ceremony during cocktail hour, with a granite-topped outdoor bar and casual bench seating alongside our sensory garden filled in the summer months with hundreds of vibrantly colored dahlias.
In the Camellia Room, a light and airy reception area, complete with wide windows, high beamed ceilings and beautiful hardwood-style floors suitable for dancing, elegant receptions are held. A bridal dressing room, a caterer, a warming kitchen, and a wrap-around deck are also included in the space so that your guests can enjoy the fresh air and garden views during the evening.
Throughout the planning process, professional staff will work with you to help ensure a successful and unforgettable wedding event.
Venue rentals include tables and chairs (some limitations apply), a free hour for an engagement photo shoot in the backyard, free parking for visitors, and more.
The Gardens at Heather Farm is also a non-profit public garden and education center, as well as being an award-winning Bay Area wedding venue, helping to spread community-wide respect for our natural environment, and your wedding fees help support this mission.
Peak-season rental fees vary from $1,500 for ceremony only (3-hour block available on weekend mornings or afternoons only on weekdays) to $5,500 for ceremony and reception (10-hour block). Set-up and removal of tables and chairs require costs. For a reduced charge of $300 per hour, extra hours may be arranged. It needs a refundable security deposit of $800. Supplementary set-up fees can apply. Estimates of food and beverage prices provided by Wedding Spot are based on a 100 guest count.
