The Cotton Patch's quilting and sewing supply store opened its doors back in 1978. It was the vision of two businessmen, Carolie Hensley and Mary Ward. At the time, Carolie was a successful real estate agent and mom was two. Mary's been looking for a business opportunity. Mary, both of them avid sewers, presented the idea of a quilting store. Carolie replied, "Well, if we stay in business for five years, we 're doing good." After five years, Mary decided to retire and Carolie kept the store thriving for four decades. They are excited to be able to serve their local customers and those from around the world through their websites and stores.
