In the past, the traditional art of sewing has been handed down from mother to daughter from generation to generation. Things are different today. Over the last 50 years , the availability of affordable and well-designed clothing has reduced the need for home sewing and, with it, the overall understanding of this once-necessary skill. But now, people from all walks of life see sewing as an opportunity to move beyond a cookie-cutter fashion approach and express their own personal style and creativity in the clothes they wear every day. You sewnow! The fashion studio was designed to empower people to design and create these fashions.
At sewnow! fashion studio you can learn how professionals design fashion; traditional sewing skills; and combine that with the commercial assembly techniques that make creating your own clothing fast and easy.
Sewnow! has also broadened it's reach with the launch of FashionKit, so that fashion sewists and sewing studios outside of the San Francisco bay area can also access the great designs, patterns, and instructions that make sewnow! unique.
