The 102 acres of open space includes woodlands and grasslands, which surround an old quarry. A number of trails can be accessed from the east end of Schmidt Lane as well north Potrero Street through King Court where dogs are allowed under their owner’s control on a leash but not in Memorial Grove because it’s protected by law that prevents any canine confined within its boundaries from harassing wildlife or chase after runners who may wish to avoid them enter this natural area first before going elsewhere.

The El Cerrito Swim Center is a great place to get your swim on! The pool is big and has plenty of room to do your laps. There are also diving boards and a slide for some fun aquatic activities.
