The Lafayette Library and Learning Center is at the junction of Mount Diablo Boulevard and First Street in downtown Lafayette. It is close to the Lafayette BART Station and many of the city's communities and shopping areas, as well as Stanley Middle School, senior housing, and Lafayette Elementary.
The library also has a large Children's area, a Homework Center, meeting rooms, an outside amphitheater, two outside decks, and an outdoor basketball court. It contains more than 80 on-site parking spaces as well as 43 public computers and a Technology & Multipurpose Lab.
The library has something for everyone. The Lafayette Library and Learning Center hosts a wealth of collaborative lectures, workshops, exhibits, films, music series, and other programs for the community throughout the year. Accessible entrances on every level of the facility provide convenience and easy access for all patrons.
