COVID-19 Update to Our Orinda Parks and Rec Family:
Contra Costa County's most recent Health Order supersedes the Health Officer's order of 5 June 2020, which guides all persons to social isolation ("Prior Order"). The order seeks to limit much of the sports, transportation, and governmental and business functions to critical needs and to the outdoor activities and outdoor businesses that were permitted to resume by the prior order. However, in view of the progress made in slowing the spread of COVID-19 in the County of Contra Costa (the "County") and in accordance with the variance received by the County of the State of California on 9 June 2020, which enables the County to move faster or in a different order through the COVID-19 path to recovery of Stage 2 of the State of California, this Order relieves restrictions on allotment The order further amends limits on outdoor recreation events, childcare services, outdoor dining, campgrounds and outdoor swimming pools.
Protect Yourself When Visiting Parks and Recreational Facilities
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention ( CDC) also created a list of "Do's" and "Don'ts" for park-goers, recognizing how necessary physical activity is during this period of confinement. To protect yourself and others from COVID-19 it is necessary to follow these measures in their list of Know Before You Go.
