Shane Co. was established in 1929. When Tom Shane 's grandfather acquired his first jewelry store in Cleveland, Ohio in 1929, just before the beginning of the Great Depression, the Shane family legacy of excellence in the diamond and jewelry industry began. His persistence and devotion to quality , value and customer service persevered, as tough as the times were. After World War II, Tom 's dad entered the family business. He piloted a single store into one of the biggest jewelry chains in the Midwest over the years. Tom began his own jewelry company in 1971, combining the devotion of his father and grandfather to quality , value and customer service. Shane Co. has 20 stores around the country today and is the nation's largest family-owned retail jeweler. Tom 's son, Rordan, serves as the president of Shane Co. alongside him and has been instrumental in increasing the business while maintaining our high customer service levels and offering a unique educational experience.

Meet the Business Owner:

In the diamond and jewelry business, Tom Shane is the third of four generations of the Shane family. Tom's voice has been associated with the Shane Co. brand since the company's inception and is heard by generations of listeners immediately on the radio.

Knowing that the only way to guarantee clients the highest value for their money's to remove middlemen, Tom ensures that every Shane Co. diamond is bought directly from the diamond cutters. Tom opened a facility in Bangkok in 2006, where he now spends about half of his time buying rubies and sapphires and operating a jewelry factory that manufactures the many exclusive designs that Shane Co. has to sell.

With a new shopping experience, they are OPEN and happy to welcome you back into their store. Please note that waiting times can exist. For the protection of everyone, they require both staff and customers to wear a face mask when in the shop. In addition to those developed by local governments, they have introduced extra cleaning and sanitizing procedures to ensure that their employees and customers have a secure shopping experience. Their hours have also changed: the shop is now open from 11 am to 7 pm on Monday through Friday, 10 am to 5 pm on Saturday, and from noon to 5 pm on Sunday.
